Put new battery in my car and all it does is
click

May have a problem at the starter, You could take it out and have it tested at the auto parts store.

probably starter , don't buy cheap ! ! Some reman stuff won't last . They guarantee it but you're the one that has to climb under and swap it out .

You may just have a bad connection at the battery. Clean and tighten the connections there.
