Power stays on after vehicle turned off.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 GMC K2500 7.4l,
anyway I have two questions. 1-
when I turn the vehicle off I still have
power to all main controls I.e.
windshield wipers, radio, pw, pl. I
don’t know what it is so I’ve been
having to drive around and
disconnect the negative on the
battery to save my battery. Any
suggestions? 2- I don’t know if it’s
just a high compression motor but it
seems my truck takes forever to turn
over and I don’t know the issue I
changed spark plugs all gaps are
correct new plug wires, new coil.
What else can there be without being
new fuel pump, new fuel lines ?
