Yes I have a 2019 traverse with touchscreen stereo
and my screen is dim I can not figure out how to
turn my brightness up

Mine does it as well and its not the dimmer switch! You can turn it any way possible and dash remains dim on my Traverse. I have taken it to dealership 3 times with no luck on fixing the issue! It reall sucks when your using the navigation and can't see the screen!

Take your garbage off of the top of the dash board. The light sensor thinks it's night time because you are a slob

Oh my! I had an envelope on my dashboard and that totally worked, lol!!!

This worked. I had for folders on my dashboard; removing them fixed the issue.

I tried everything when the display went dim. I read the manual with no luck. Then I saw this post. I had mail that I had thrown on the dashboard. It was covering the sensor ‍♀️

Had a birthday gift bag and tissue paper I threw on my dash this weekend heading to a party and sure enough as soon as I removed it, the lights were shining bright again. Thanks for the tip.
