My car shuts off

My 2001 grand marquis tends to shut off
when im stopped with it still in drive or at a
red light if im not pumping the gas what
should i do? Or check? Or replace?

CHECK CATILIST CONVERTER COULD BE FLACKING OFF INSIDE CAUSING ENGINE TO SHUT DOWN HADE SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MY CAR IT WAS THE CONVERTER
