Whats making my car not start..

Asked by Jun 10, 2017 at 07:15 PM about the 1992 Ford Crown Victoria

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 92 mercury grand marquis 454
small block DOHC V8.  When i started it last
it made a bogging down sound so i revved it
up. It was cool for a second and did it again
so i revved. Letting off the gas it died.  Didnt
start again.  Tried a jump. Nothing. I blew
the starter out fully fucking with it too much.
Replaced that. Now it tries to start but still
makes a clicking sound. The fan moves a ¼
an inch when trying to start. Im thinking
starter sylinoid...  Anybody have any advice
to what it would be..?
