Too hi fuel consumption (gasoline)

see if the injectors are firing normal , maybe one is stuck open , what does the exhaust look like ? look under the oil fill cap what do you see ?

Is the check engine light illuminated? If so get the codes read and do some research online. A bad O2 sensor can cause excessive fuel consumption.
