Remove a steering column from a 98 Mazda millennia

Asked by Mar 16, 2018 at 09:07 AM about the 1998 Mazda Millenia

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The steering column itself unbolted. The ignition is
attached onto the column and no normal bolts I've
even seen hold it on the column . They won't come
out together but seems they need to

1 Answer

Most steering columns are attached to the steering shaft, which goes to the steering rack. The connections are inside the engine bay. Look to see where the column comes out of the firewall to see where your bolt connection is.
