O/D light blinking means the transmission is overheating. Most times you can scan for the transmission codes and a fault code can be stored in the system pinpointing what part of the trans is the problem. Most times, it's an indication that the trans is ready or close to failure. How is it shifting? The CD4E transmissions in these cars was not the best. You got your moneys worth out of it if it's still running.
