How do I get the fuel lines off the fuel filter on a 1993 Festiva?

Do I need a special tool to remove the fuel lines?

I don't think you do. Not looking at one right now but generally there is a pinch clip and you pull that back a couple inches and then twist the line back and forth working the line off of the port. You can use pliers as well just enough to grip the line
