Mazda 2003 overdrive or transmission?

I have a Mazda 2003 the overdrive is
flashing on and off it the overdrive or the
transmission? Can somebody please tell me
it runs great but want change gears when it's
in drive. Is that the overdrive button or the
transmission?  Tell me what I need to do or
change I shave to have this car for work.

A flashing OD light is telling you something it wrong with the transmission, better have it checked real soon or it could run into a major repair. You might get lucky and it just be a shift solenoid.

Thank you. I just found out its not the overdrive it's odo


The odometer is flashing? That could mean that the speed sensor are erratic or just flat out bad. You need to have the codes checked to see if they show and speed sensor codes.

The odometer is just staying on right above my mileage


Still could be a fault in the sensors or even the shut down protocol. If it is a shutdown protocol only the dealer can fix it with a re-flash.
