how long does it take to start a Mazda Tribute V6?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

it may sound like a stupid question, but i have to turn the ignition onto the
accesseries and then wait for 30 seconds to a minute, then turn on the car and
if you dont wait that time it just gargles (sounds like its flooded with something
and tries to start but cant) once it starts it runs fine, just woundering if i need to
change the spark plugs or what.

sounds like something close to what happened with my own tribute a few years ago, as I remember when I took it to the shop they told me it was the fuel pump going out and the delay was the pump primer needing time to get gas to the engine and then it would start after allowing the delay from accessory switch to start. That was my case, there are other problems that can also cause this. If it runs fine after starting then I would take it to shop and have them check the fuel pressure.
