Can I install a 3.08 ring and pinion gear in the rear end of my 64 Chevy C10

I am currently running a 350 SBC with a 4 speed Muncie and 3.73 gears and would like a higher gear to make it a little better on the highway so I am not running 3,000 RPM at 60 MPH.

even a 290 gear..... ,,, yes you can
