sunglass holder on 2017 dodge caravan is stuck with a pair of glasses so door won't open

Asked by neelie916 Dec 01, 2019 at 12:11 PM about the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the door will not open fully to remove sunglass from overhead storage.  The glasses in there must be angled somehow to prevent door from swinging open fully.  Won't budge.

You will need to slowly pry it open with a thin nylon tool, and maybe another one to push the sunglasses back in if they are getting hung up. All trial and error and expect to break one or both. If you can, maybe you can remove the whole assembly and not just the door?
