Cigarette lighter socket not getting power

Asked by Nov 03, 2017 at 12:32 PM about the 1994 Ford Ranger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Checked fuse and it is good.  But still no power to oulett

If it is the style I'm use too it has a thermal fuse in the back of the lighter body, not replaceable you have to replace the body itself, best to go aftermarket and do away with the thermal fuse. This is assuming you have already done a power and ground test at the lighter body itself.
