Problems with Transmission

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the best way to say whats wrong, is it has a roar when driven for a small amount of time...long enough to warm the transmission, about 20 miles. Then the problem is going from 2nd gear....roars until you lift your foot from the gas pedal. slow down to 25 miles, then it changes, and you can resume speed...this is causing people behind me to get angry....as slowing down to change that gear...in an automatic...whats the problem?

Sound like your tranny is about to give up. Thats slipping gears which is usually because you dont have enough fluid in it and it damages the gears. Take it to a shop ASAP. Check your tranny fluid level too and refill it if its low.

Had the transmission fluid checked no problems....after is goes to second gear, there is no other problems....it goes until I come to a stop sign or light, then the same thing all over....and only when the transmission has been over 20 miles...when the transmission is cold it changes smoothly.

I kno its a lil late but its the valve body gasket in the trans, its torn or bad....or a small possibility of a synchronizer for 2nd going out. But 9 outta 10 times its the valve body gasket just for future reference . If it has the same symptoms
