My 1994 ford ranger got stuck in mud started
to smell like it was burning and now won’t run
can’t figure out what’s wrong with it what
should I check

I think you left some details out of your question. So it was stuck in the mud. What did you do to get it out? Gun the engine and the tires just spun and spun till finally you got it out? You might have burned out the transmission, and or the engine. Plus the electrical components under the truck are probably wet and caked with mud. Clean off the mud, dry out the vehicle and hope for the best. If still a no go have it towed to a garage so they can diagnose the issue.

No I did that when it was stuck only for a minute and it didn’t move so I called my step dad to come pull me out

I washed under the truck with a pressure washer and let it dry
