Mercedes has a finicky electrical system; you should probably talk to a Mercedes dealership about this... When you disconnect a battery you risk losing all the memory in the computer; running history, codes, etc. Mercedes will probably advise you to buy a battery tender; it's a light weight trickle charger that plugs into house current and keeps the battery charged. It's a really good idea, and I'm sure, they'll recommend you buy theirs. If your 6 month plans turn into a car issue, you might be better off with the Mercedes recommendation.
