I bought a 94 ford explorer my bf has been working
on it an he's running out of options the truck will
turn over but want start we bought a crankshaft
sensor well it wasn't it it had a new fuel pump put
in it could it be he might of got a bad fuel pump he
done checked all under the hood an everything
looks okay If it not the fuel pump what could it be
Crank sensor signal helps tell the computer when to send the spark to the plugs, the fuel pump sends fuel so which do you not have fuel or spark? Relays, fuses under hood or dash. ECM, Shorts, ect Need to use voltmeter and diagnostic tools to figure out what is working and what is not.
It needs sufficient fuel, properly timed spark, and compression to run. You need to find out which on is missing to make a diagnosis. Throwing parts at it will only be a waste of money.
