radiator cooling fan will not come on

Well it can any number of things, fan motor, fan relay, temperature switch, wiring, even engine not reaching turn on temperature, and that usually means a stuck open thermostat and the only time the engine will get hot enough is either idling for an extended period or an extremely hot day. HTH
