Engine swap need help!

Asked by Jul 13, 2018 at 05:37 PM about the 1998 Lexus GS 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently swapped out an old engine with a new engine,
reset the timing. Checked for fuel and spark, have fuel and
very weak spark.  Checked all the grounds 4 times, good
connection.  Checked wiring harnesses and sensors, all
good.  Fuel pumps good, new head gasket.   It now turns
over n cranks but will not start. Second time replacing this
engine. The first time it was ran with no oil. Switched the
engine completely, with a used engine but wouldn't start.
Bad head on the new engine put in,  so kept the head that
was already on the engine in the car and used the bottom
half of the used engine we got to replace. Still won't run.
Any ideas?
