not impossible that you ruined your fuel pump. they can be damaged by running low on gas or out of gas, especially if this isn't the first time. You should be able to hear your fuel pump cycle when you turn the key to the on position, if not then you need to see if you are getting any fuel pressure. by the way, you should use carb cleaner and not ether. It has lubricants in it that wont dry out cylinder walls.

Running out of gas, or habitually driving it low on gas, can burn up the fuel pump. The gas is the coolant, and the pump is trying to pump gas that's not there and will overheat and fail. Just one possibility. Since it does fire up on ether, it's fuel starvation issue, not spark

mikeatpriestlake , Thanks Mike the carb cleaner work better than regular starting fluid.I think I sprayed too much carb cleaner in the second time.First time fired, second time I was able to actually rev the motor. Revving the motor helped until I had a backfire,(leave the dog house on!)and I had to blow out a small fire from the backfire. It's starts and I thank you for your information.
