2000 Lexus ES300 starting problems

Asked by GuruRPS7D Feb 16, 2020 at 11:07 PM about the 2000 Lexus ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has random times when it wants to
start. In the morning (the first start) it always
goes good but if I drive it somewhere it has
trouble starting the second or third time. I can
hold my foot on the gas and it’ll start, most of
the time, but it makes a weird noise under the
hood. And sometimes it’ll cut off when I take
my foot off the gas. Got a tuneup, replaced air
and fuel filter. Battery is pretty new. Autozone
says my alternator and starter is good. Any
suggestions?

I have quite a few engine codes. P0171. P0110. P0325. P0330. P0420. It seems like P0110 (air intake sensor) is the most applicable code but when I went to find the part, autozone said it isn’t on my car, so I don’t know how to fix it. Battery and cables are connected and in good condition.
