How much to replace the headlight control switch?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have recently spent about $900 to get one headlight control switch (or whatever it's called) and I'm told the other headlight control switch is going out which is why the light is flickering.  It's another $900 for this one.  Does this sound right?

Lexus calls the part a "COMPUTER SUB-ASSY, HEADLAMP LIGHT CONTROL" retail just for the part is $512.30 each plus diagnosis and labor. There are 2 of these sub-assemblies required, one for each side. $900 sound a little high, but within the real of believable for a Lexus repair. Thank you so much. I live in Studio City, an expensive area and I trust my shop. I just wanted to make sure because it sounded like such a crazy expense. The car is 15 years old and I still love it so it's totally worth it to me. Thanks so much for your answer! Karen
