2015 wrx base tire swap!?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a friend selling 2014 legacy
tires and wheels. I wanted to know if
the tire will fit on my base model '15
wrx.. Really need new snow tires so I
hope it fits. I think bolt pattern is the
same.. Here is link to the wheel on

Depends. '10-14 Leg alloys are both 16" and 17". Both will fit, UNLESS you have special front calipers that require 17. Stock 17 are 215/50-17, which are TALLER than your rex OE size, so handling will be affected. You'll get an improvement in comfort and increased height for potholes and snow...and there MAY be minor rubbing issues. If you tell me your WREX OE size I can be more specific. If they're 225/45-17 for example, then the 215/50 will most probably fit.
