The first few years maintenance costs will be just slightly higher, but as the Jeep ages the costs start to go up, and they go up fast as the rig ages, like my old Jeep first the tranny then the brakes, then the transfer case, all of that happened through 150K miles. But it was a Jeep and I used as one. I recommend not keeping it longer that 4 to 5 years.

Ok so this car is definitely not something you would recommend for long term use even if it's not being used for off roading?
