locked up after battery install
Replaced the battery on my 2016 Chevy impala. The power comes on and starts but the steering wheel and everything is locked up. I imagine this is a theft deterrent. How do I reset.
If everything is locked then it will have to be towed to the dealer and have the BCM reflashed as it lost it's base programming when main power was disconnected. Runs a hundred bucks in my area. There is a tool that is used that prevents this from happening, it plugs into the OBD 2 port and keeps the system from crashing during electrical work or battery replacement.
