Hi rspence! Do you happen to have more information or context? It may mean that the listing of the vehicle for sale has been contracted to a third party. There's various roles played in these situations. Sometimes, vehicle owners will hire a third-party person and/or organization to assist them with the sale, communication, advertisement, pricing, demos, etc. I recommend asking for more information so you know for certain who you're buying the vehicle from. Or, It may mean that the person listing the vehicle has it currently leased, as in, contracted with the lender who leased the vehicle to them with an existing lease agreement. Some lenders and manufacturers allow lessees to transfer their lease to a new party who then becomes responsible for the remainder of the lease obligations. Hope that helps... good luck! -Andy
