2015 honda accord

Asked by CarlaMann23 Nov 14, 2017 at 10:39 AM about the 2015 Honda Civic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I stopped to put air in my tire last night, put the car
in park and when got in to leave it would not start
because it thinks the car is in drive the dash reads
"safe to put in park" also will not completely not
shut off completely either had to unhook battery.
Tried unhooked the entire battery for a few min to
maybe reset it but that didn't work either. What
could the problem be?

You transmission could be finished if it's still running then you might want to unhook the fuel line and let the engine shut off. I've never really heard of this problem but it sounds like either a faulty motherboard or your transmission needs to be replaced.

Oh yea, i remember i once had a problem with my uncles car it wouldn't go into park so therefore wouldn't let go of the key.
