Nissan CVT's are a disaster. Check with Nissan and they may replace your transmission under warranty.

i have a 2016 Nissan Rogue SL and my transmission stopped working in the middle of the highway !!!!!! thank god i was able to pull over. out of no where i just couldn't push on the gas. I had no lights come on and when my fiance took my car to the dealership they said nothing was wrong and it was working fine again ! they did a scan of my car after my finance was persistent and said something was wrong. well wouldn't you know a bunch of errors came up. my car is now in the shop and getting a brand new transmission. after my research the CTV transmission is garbage. they are known for failing and breaking. thank god i'm still under warranty or id be looking at a $5000 bill. they are putting another CTV transmission in so this will liking happen again. we now have to consider taking a hit and ditching the car.

Hello! I'm looking for people who have less than a 100k miles who are having issues with their CVT. Are you willing to chat?

This is not a "chat" site. You post your question and wait for answers. My suggestion is to post a new question rather than on an old thread like this one.

My wife 2014 Rogue CVT went out around 63K mile on the vehicle. Luckily we were still under warranty and Nissan replaced the CVT without any cost to us. We will be getting a new vehicle soon.

My 2016 Nissan Rogue SV just blew out it's CVT at 43,000 miles. Repair covered under warranty. Total cost for the replacement was $3440. Also, a year ago my Rogue had the popular driver's seat assembly problem. The entire thing was replaced at the cost of $1250. Thankfully that repair made it under the warranty as well. That's close to $5000 in repairs on a car that's 2 1/2 years old. I'm not sure what happened, but Nissan's are junk now. The Nissan heyday of the 90's is definitely over. Avoid Nissan, at least the ones with the CVTs, at all costs.

Just lost the CVT in my 2012 Rogue with 86K. No warning except whinning (by me too!) the day of; no dashboard warning lights. Dealer wants $4060. I've requested a case no. through Nissan and am shopping around for used CVTs (yeah - I know). Remanufactured (3-yr warranty) quote online is $2600 + 8-hrs labor (guessing ~$800). After experiences with Mazda and now Nissan, I'm returning to Honda or Toyota where my experiences for reliability and low maintenance costs has been stellar.
