Huh? Never heard of that before. What does you paperwork agreement say? Who is the loan through?

Says my name and bank

They offered me a 2017 but want me to pay more money the whole thing is a mess

It's yours now. They are SOL. If they REALLY want it back, they'll have to buy it back from you and pay off the loan in order to get the title. The bank is the lien holder, they will not relinquish the title until they get paid off anyhow. Now think about how much you paid in taxes, titling and registration fees, interest on the loan, and time wasted in all this, you'll need to get a lot more than what you paid for the vehicle to break even if you decide to let them have it back.
