I have a 2003 kia rio. Engine is stuffed.  Planning to put
another second hand engine. The car has done 150k. Is it
worth ispending the money cost $2200 to repair  or look for
another car .

Sound pretty expensive, you might want to shop around for a decent motor and find someone that will install the engine at a reasonable price

Is it a vehicle you want to keep? If so purchase you a new crate engine. If your going to spend the money and keep it don't buy used.
