Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've always heard that it is recommended that you change time timming belt on
Subaru at 100,000.  Ordered all the parts and it a chain not a belt.  Question is
do you still have to change it if its a chain and not a belt?  I have the 2.5 with
the DOHC.
