On the information display what are the vertical row of numbers(1-5) for?

These numbers are on the display screen directly in front of the steering
wheel and run vertically on the screen on the right hand side.

Tells you what gear the transmission is using. That information is in the owner's manual. It would be good to thumb through the manual as there is lots of useful information in it.
