Can you start a keyless start engine with just the mechanical key.

Asked by GuruQZDYB Nov 12, 2019 at 11:02 AM about the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe

Question type: General

My friend has a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe, which has the keyless start. She
recently lost the main part of the smart key FOB but she still has the little
mechanical key that is inside it. Is there a way to start the engine manually with
the key?

No. You need the FOB. The regular key is only for an emergency. But an FOB and get it programmed for the vehicle.
