Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 94 Grand Cherokee, I just recently replaced the fuel pump in it. I cycled the ignition a couple of times before starting and it stated for a while then went dead. All it will do now is turn over. I fuel in the fuel rail, and spark off of the coil. What else could be the problem??

Check to make sure your getting the proper fuel pressure. I have seen three bad fuel pumps right out of the box.

The pressure should be 49 psi +_ 5 psi. Also did you clean the tank out before installing the pump? Chrysler did have problems with replacement pumps for these model years.
