GEN light has come on

got in to jeep, turned it on, GEN light stayed on and am worried that I will do
damage to jeep if I drive it with GEN light on .. also, is this light for the
Alternator ? I dont have a manual :(

Yes, that's the warning light to let you know the alternator is not working! If you continue to drive it you will have a dead battery! Hope that helps! Jim
