Question type: Maintenance & Repair

,newly machined motor, new carb.  Idles super high and don't know why.
Doesn't kick down either.

1 Answer

Check for a vacuum leak, set the ignition timing and try to adjust the idle speed. Make sure it is not set on the choke fast idle. The kickdown issue could be due to the kickdown linkage not being hooked up or adjusted properly.
