I have a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I bought
it from a second owner.the problem is after I
bought it it drove for ten miles. I parked it now it
will not move it starts fine shifts fine but when I go
to back up or drive forward. It hasitates. I noticed
the I was going dropping transmission fluid big
time so changed everything . What could have
caused this problem?

I think the problem is largely due to transmission fluid loss. There must be damage or a rust hole in the transmission pan causing that loss. Or there may be a leaky cooler line that runs up to the radiator. Look for the source. If it shifted okay before the fluid loss, you may get off easy on repair costs.
