Smoke or steam? Radiator cap on right? Serpentine belts will squeal when coolant get on them.

Best Answer

I'm not sure how to tell weather it's smoke or steam, it's like a white ish color

The smell will tell, if it's smoke it will have a acrid smell, if it's coolant it will have a overpowering sweet smell. Both can be white in color, check under the hood for wet spots from coolant splashing. Make sure the radiator cap is on correctly while your there.
