Front end and tranny swap

Can I take the front end and rear end out of a 1996
Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and put them in a
2000 Jeep Cherokee without having to do
modifications and will the tranny work with the
straight 6 the Laredo Grand Cherokee came with a
straight 6
