2000 jeep cherokee

Asked by Lauren Feb 13, 2016 at 06:35 PM about the 2000 Jeep Cherokee

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car starts fine but there is a very loud clicking
noise. It sounds like is coming from where you put
in the oil. Checked oil, levels fine. Any ideas?

Sound like a valve/valve spring or lifter problem, you'll need to have the valve cover pulled to inspect. if you're not comfortable with that have an experienced technician look at it - its not necessarily an easy repair - sorry for the potential bad news
