I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and I can't get the battery to keep a charge.

I've had the battery tested, and it is
fine. The alternator has been tested
too, and it is running low but should
still be fine. I had the terminals
replaced, and there isn't corrosion on
the battery.

Alternator has to be putting out around 14.5 volts to keep a battery fully charged.

The mechanic said it was putting out 13.8, would that small of a difference cause my battery to discharge rapidly?
That's mighty close. Does it discharge over night or while you are driving?
www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdIKNnwEjIs -- check this out. Shows how to test for parasitic draw. You probably have something staying on draining the battery over night.
Do you leave a cell phone charger hooked up or any other after market item plugged into cig lighter over night? If so that's probably your drain.

Thanks, I'll definitely try that out! Nope, I always unplug my phone charger.
