Left parking lights keep going out, what can we do?

Asked by sdevereux Jun 20, 2011 at 08:40 AM about the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My husband has a 2001 Jeep.  We recently had the left tail lights go out.  We did notice the fuse was blown and replaced it,  But now we have had to replace it at least 3 times.  Took it to a mechanic and they replaced the fuse with a higher voltage and it still blew.  Anyone else having this issue?  Please let me know of any suggestions or solutions you have.  This is very frustrating!

I had some weird problems with my 2004 Grand Cherokee. The lights worked every once in a while. I finally found cheap replacement units on ebay for $60 and replaced both units. $120 total. You will pay at least that on ONE tail light at the dealer. They have been working great, they are easy to uninstall and install.
