2004 Jeep Wrangler

Asked by Apr 08, 2016 at 06:29 PM about the 2004 Jeep Wrangler

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I'm driving down the road, it seems as
though it kicks into neutral and no power is getting
to the transmission. The vehicle also stalls at stop
signs. At one point it just stayed in 1st and
wouldn't transfer to a higher gear. At that point the
check engine light turned on. Is this a need to
replace transmission??

quite possible, pull the codes to see. If you get any codes in the 700's you'll know it's trans related.
