What happened to my "welcome home sound?"

Asked by Janet Oct 31, 2014 at 04:37 PM about the 2014 Kia Soul

Question type: Car Customization

I somehow no longer have a "doorbell"
audible sound when I arrive home.
It was a feature I loved & no one at
dealership has a clue ...  it is the whole
shebang package I have!

Don't believe so. Thought the "ding dong" was part of the Navi system? It happened every time I arrived home & always in the exact same spot!!! I am not a crazy person...

Janet, just got a 2016 Kia Sorento and I hear the doorbell chime. It happens when I leave home and am near home. No one at the dealer knows what it is either. I see in the manual it talks about a welcome home sound, but never explains it. I have been searching online and found your posting. Did you find out anything else about it?

I am trying to figure out the doorbell sound as well. Any results after 2 years

I hear a chime for any address I have saved in the nav system for which I set notification on
