after doing so ive read forums saying that u shouldnt put anything over a 2.5in spacer in the front because it can cause binding in ur cv shafts in the front. . . . has anyone actually encountered this problem because i have yet to. . .

I had a 06 with a 3". The early model Liberties used the same lift coils but it only gave them a 2.5" lift. This is due to the early Liberties riding on taller OEM springs. They had issues with rollovers or something and decided to lower the later models. Your lift is fine. I was running 31 x 10.50 r 15 on my liberty for about 15k miles before it was totaled and never had a single problem.

I have about a 3in lift with no problems and have wheeled the piss of of it. you shold be fine but you might want to look at putting aftermarket upper control arms (www.jeepinbyal.com). Also look at the jeep club forum lostkjs.com, it is a jeep liberty forum with everything you might want to know about jeep liberty's or other jeeps.
