Ford E150 has lack on power, glowing exhaust, after dropping antifreeze on top of motorblock. What is the problem?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

First I had an antifreeze leak above the engine. After fixing it, we drove home with very less power and found a red to orange glowing exhaust in the section before the catalytic converter. Before the leak problem, we never had any problems that kind.

Sounds to me like your Catalytic Convertor is plugged up and causing some backpressure/heat issues. Check the output of exhaust at the tailpipe. you will probably find not much is coming out at the force you would expect

And a friend of me answered, it could be the coils that got wet from the antifreeze. The engine has not the old kind of distributor for the sparks, coils do produce the spark for each spark plug distributed from a computer. If it gets wet, I can imagine, electric is damaged.
