Check you gas cap. Tight a couple clicks and look at the seal, make sure it's intact. If that is not it you need an OBDII scan -- free from most parts houses. But check the cap and drive for at least 30 -40 miles and if the light stays on get the scan. Bring the PXXXX codes back here and one of us will be happy to help you with cause and solution

After the check emission system came on I tried tightening the gas cap. That didn’t work. So I checked the oil level when the engine was cold. The dip stick showed nothing. I added a couple of quarts of oil and the system and engine light went away. I know I still have to take it in to figure out why the oil is being used up so fast (I just changed it a few months ago and probably less than 3000 miles) but at least it’s a start

I have an Insight and it burned oil really bad, broke down on my son a couple times.. finally took it to the dealer and learned there is a recall on it.. they literally replace the motor!! Since then no issues!! CHECK AND SEE IF YOU HAVE A RECALL ON YOURS.

I had my engine replaced and have been driving it for a few months now. Last night the check emissions light came on again. :( I have plenty of oil and my gas cap is tight with a good seal. 2013 Insight - worst Honda I've ever owned!!
