How can I hear the DVD system in the cab of my 2013 Highlander?

We purchased the DVD system for our 2013 Toyota Highlander but can only hear the DVD playing if wearing wireless headphones. Neither the vehicle manual or the service men at our local dealership have been able to help!

take it to a different toyota dealer, still no luck then contact Toyota customer service

My problem is exactly the opposite. Have a 2014 Highlander and can't get the wireless headphones to work. For your situation, on the remote push "TV", then "System Menu", then "FMM Select". A chart will appear with radio frequencies. Pick one that does NOT have a radio broadcast in your town. Highlight it, push the select/enter button, then push "DVD" on the remote to save the change. After that, you should be able to tune your radio to the selected channel and hear the movie that is playing.

You can play the dvd through the car radio, FM channel 88.3.
