What does this button do?

Asked by GuruX6BLT Nov 16, 2018 at 07:25 PM about the 2013 Kia Rio

Question type: General

I’m asking on behalf of my friend
because we can’t figure out what the
heck this button does. She has a
2013 Kia Rio sedan sportsmatic.
There is a button on the dash
(underneath the steering column and
above the gas/brake pedals) that
appears to be an on/off switch (the
button has O/I printed on it) but there
is nothing about it in the manual and
we can’t find any info online. Does
anyone know what this does? Is this
supposed to be a feature or function?
Or perhaps it is an aftermarket part
that was installed (for a light bar,
maybe)?
